We moved to the property nearly fourteen years ago with four dogs. At the time Hawthorn House was a three bedroom cottage and The Owl House a bit of a rickety barn. The gardens were three acres of fields, grazing sheep.

Over the years we have worked to enlarge the main house and develop the gardens. The conversion of The Owl House has been a long held ambition. We now have a family, chickens, fish and two young dogs. They seem to be popular with our human visitors and welcoming to visiting dogs.
